So, I'm still trying to get SWTOR working with HelixVision. However, I asked my wife to look, and she says that while it's definitely more immersive on a big screen, it doesn't seem fully 3D. I mean, maybe I'm spoiled with VR, but I'm having troubles distinguishing between real 3D and "flat" 3D (one day I watched 3D animation on 2D screen and my brain totally convinced me it was in 3D). Yeah, it now hooks with vorpX, but it doesn't look like 3D. Originally posted by Nick1453:As for the game itself.
Vorpx .exe has stopped software#
exe of your game to the vorpx excluded software list in the vorpx config tool and start the game in borderless window via helixvison. If the game won't hook correct with both in combination in spite of everything, simply use the vorpx desktop viewer with FullVR instead of a vorpx profile. In the vorpx profiles you can set SBS 3D as input and use 3Dvision SBS Output to play in FullVR and 3D. Important is to start the game in Helixvision not with play in VR Button rather the play in 3D Button. If your game has an 3Dfix but no Helixvision profile, you have to create a profile.
Vorpx .exe has stopped windows#
In Helixvision you should activate the "Hacker Mode" called 3Dvision Mode and the "3Ddiscover for VR" Profile, this will change the windows registry to use a SBS Mode with correct colours.
Vorpx .exe has stopped full#
You could ask Bo3b for a full list of those games, and test all those profiles in vorpx. Vorpx supports external "3D driver" in profiles like Tomb Raider and other games which use their own "Steroscopic 3D Engines in SBS Mode" that are related to 3DVision. No wrapper (HelixMod) is necessary here, because we don't have a game fix for this one. For a game this old, there is a decent chance the 3D will be OK, without broken effects.įor HelixVision, double check that the Rendering API is set to DX9 to match the game, and see if that doesn't allow you to connect to the game and see it in HelixVision. Since you got it working anaglyph, that means that 3D Vision itself is working via their Automatic Mode, to generate a stereo image. The primary piece that we miss when setting up a new profile is to set the Rendering API in the HelixVision profile. So just in case people were wondering, the profile for Knights wont' be a good place to start here. It also uses a different game engine than Knights (which is OpenGL based). We have support for Knights of the Old Republic, and I did not realize there is a completely different game with nearly the same name. In this case, this is a game I didn't even know about. It's awesome to see things work and the different games that people try out. I created the same topic [on vorpX forum, if anyone is interested. I don't know whether it will be in any help supporting the game in the future, but regardless I just want to thank authors of these amazing tools! And I have access to all vorpX settings, I can even remap Valve controllers to my needs within the game. It is much better than ReShape with Depth3D shader, which also works with SWTOR, but I can't recommend it. Although I'm still not sure whether it was really in 3D as vorpX displayed a message that a game without profile would launch in 2D or Immersive mode, but it certainly looked like it (at least, I could tell that there was some depth).
To my surprise, SWTOR, being in anaglyph mode on the monitor, just hooked with vorpX to be displayed on my headset (maybe it was a hook helper, but I failed to delete it, so I don't know). I left opened both HelixVision and vorpX, and launched SWTOR from the desktop. It didn't work, so I deleted the profile. I also installed a hook helper for swtor.exe. Next I opened vorpX and just in case created a profile for SWTOR. I don't know why, maybe I set the profile wrong. As a result, SWTOR was launching in anaglyph red/cyan mode, but wasn't showing in my headset. I took some other game profile from HelixVision and adapted it to work with SWTOR. For this reason I was messing only with HelixVision at the beginning. So, I knew that SWTOR didn't work with vorpX, as I had heard it stopped hooking with it a few years back. I hope that my story might help to support the game in the future. However, I somehow managed to run SWTOR (Steam version, if it matters) in my headset, using both these tools. Before you say anything, I know that this game is not supported by both HelixVision and vorpX.
